These terms cover the Tournament Tool app and web Player Portal ("the app"), used to run and play in Pokémon VGC/TCG/GO tournaments and league events at The Jefferson Gym. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
A tool for running and playing in tournaments: registration, pairings, match reporting, standings, and team/deck list submission. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, or Play! Pokemon — "Play! Pokemon ID" and similar terms refer to the official program run by those companies, which this app only reads and records, not manages.
Using the app doesn't excuse anyone from the official Play! Pokemon Tournament Rules Handbook and Penalty Guidelines, or from a judge's or organizer's rulings at an event. Report match results honestly; a judge can and will overturn a result found to be reported in error or bad faith. Team/deck lists submitted through the app are reviewed by judges the same as a paper list would be.
The app is provided "as is." We do our best to keep pairings, timers, and results accurate, but we don't guarantee the app will be error-free or available at every moment of an event. If something breaks mid-round, judges fall back to their normal in-person process — the app is a tool to help run the tournament, not the final authority on it.
To the extent allowed by law, The Jefferson Gym and anyone who built or maintains this app aren't liable for damages arising from your use of it, including lost tournament results, missed notifications, or disputes arising from match reporting.
We may update these terms as the app changes. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.
